Johann Christian Graebner: 1678-1704;
maker of organ, harpsichords and other instruments; ascertained 1678-1704. In 1692 he built the organ in the church of St.John at Dresden.

Johann Heinrich Graebner the Elder: 1665-1739;
brother of Johann Christian. Organ maker also made harpsichords, and clavichords. Organist at the Frauenkirche, Dresden, 1696 onwards.

Johann Heinrich Graebner the Younger: c.1700-c.1777;
son of Johann Heinrich the Elder; became Court Organ and Harpsichord maker.

Johann Gottfried Graebner: 1736-1808;
eldest son of Johann Heinrich the Younger. Like his father he became Court Organ and Harpsichord maker. Died 1808. From 1786 onwards he made piano-fortes with his brother Johann Wilhelm, and, after his death, with his half brother Karl August.

Johann  Wilhelm Graebner: 1737-1798;
another son of Johann Heinrich the Younger. Died 1798.

Karl August Graebner: 1749-1827;
Third son of Johann Heinrich the Younger; he was born in 1749 from his second wife. After his father's death he left his brothers and set up a firm of is own, which produced keyboard instruments of higt quality. Latest date ascerteined, 1796.

Ernst Gottlob: 1734-1759;
son of Johann Heinrich the Younger from his first marriage. Organ and instrument maker.

Johann Gotthelf Graebner: Perhaps son of Karl August, we know very few about him.

The four Graebner Fortepianos are all that remains of the production of 16 makers in Dresden in the second half of the XVIII century.
