Curriculum Vitae



Born in Vigevano (Italy) in 1969, he got his General Certificate of Education in 1988. In 1990 he graduated with full marks and honourable mention at G. Verdi Academy of Music of Milan, under Mo Riccardo Risaliti's guidance.

He played Piano Recitals in several Italian towns, taking part also to the meeting for the centenary of F. Liszt's death held at Palazzo Litta - Milan in 1986. Together with the Milan Rai Orchestra he played (Radio Broadcasting) Prokofiev's Third Concert, conducted by Mo Vladimir Delman and, besides with the Angelicum Orchestra he played Beethoven's Fourth Concerto.

In 1990 he played in Milan for "Societa' dei Concerti" on the occasion of the "Incontri Musicali" festival where he got a scholarship. In 1992 he played for the whole Beethoven's Sonatas at Manzoni Theatre in Milan.

He won the 1st Prize at the Piano Competitions held at Stresa (1982), La Spezia (1983), Gallarate (1990). He won the 3rd Prize of Stresa "Premio Yamaha" in 1991 and in the same year he won the 1st Prize at "Premio Venezia".
In October 1993 he won the 5th Prize at the 18th "E. Pozzoli" International Competition of Seregno.

In February 1995 some of his performances were broadcasted by the Irish Radio. In June 1995 he played at Cinecitta' Due in Rome during a show dedicated to contemporary music and took part to Aterforum Festival of Ferrara.

In June 1996 he was awarded the 2nd Prize and a special Prize instituted by the Slovak Ministry of Culture at the International Piano Competition "J.N. Hummel" of Bratislava and in July he graduated and got a Master at the Piano Academy of Imola where he practised and improved under Lazar Berman's guidance.
In September 1996 he played a Recital at International Music Festival of Bratislava.

IIn September 1997 he was the best classified at the 20th "E. Pozzoli" International Piano Competition of Seregno (Milan).
In November 1998 he was awarded the 2nd prize and the public prize at the 49th "Viotti" International Piano Competition of Vercelli (Italy).
