The Bhagavad-gita is considered the most important philosophical text of all.
Although there definetely are book equally important, the Bhagavad-gita is special for various reasons. The first is that was personally spoken by Lord Krishna Himself, who is the personification of all knowlege. The second is that it teaches a very basic philosophy. It brings the reader from the stage of ignorance about the tenets of transcendentalism to one of full enlightment.

It is not a book to be read, but to be studied. And then to be practiced.

We'll try here to offer you a most systematic way to study Bhagavad-gita. It will take some time, a few months, for the course to be ready, but it is worthwhile to wait some time. You can start reading Bhagavad-gita As It Is, being the most splendid example of clear and faithful translation and explanations. Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, our spiritual master, has done a most valuable service to mankind.
