On Stage with a Legend

What does it feel like to play on stage with a legend
like Albertazzi?

Giorgio Albertazzi is an Actor with a capital A, and I'm not being flamboyant when I say it. Now over 70 I think he was and still is Italy's greatest actor. He is also a hive of activity, onstage every evening,  directing other shows with other casts during the day, preparing new roles for the future, attending seminars on his nights off. There is nothing old about his acting and his attitude to life.

I made it my mission to observe him as much as I could, and you can't imagine how much I learnt from watching.  All my scenes were together with him and every evening was like a different show. He's an actor that lives his part every time.

Albertazzi is first and foremost an actor and then a director. You get more from him by watching his interpretations rather than what he gives you as a director.

I'm really proud to have worked at his side.
