The aftermath of "Blue Angel"! What did four months of touring with Italy's top theater actor together with Italy's favourite pin-up do for Eric's carrier ? NAPLES - Italy is divided into two audiences. The "Candle in the wind" fans and critics of Valeria Marini who came both to applaud and scorn her in a dangerous cocktail together with the superb Albertazzi, the living legend of Italian Theater. Eric came through this experience not only unscathed but even richer in his interpretations. Under the guiding hand of Albertazzi his performance of the scruple-free women mongering antagonist boosted the credibility of the combination. Financially
a success, playing to packed houses in the provinces, the audiences in the
large cities were critical of the pairing of their hero with the voluptious
blonde.
Italia 1 opens new season with Eric on TV every day for the coming year ! You'll like it ! The idea is a good one. And don't for a moment think he is forsaking all his other activities to take up an exclusively TV career. So just sit back and enjoy these short daily sketches. Filmed once a week in the Fininvest studios in Milan, the sketches are then metered out daily and intend to capture the same verve and a similar market to those of the "Caroselli" so popular in Italy in the Sixties. The
exposure will be good. Tognazzi, Vianello and Manfredi all used the "Caroselli"
as stepping stones to their careers. In fact their pieces are today collectors
items which are regularly grouped and broadcast for their fans.
He's
there for Surfers too !
MILAN - Theater, Screen, TV and radio. Wasn't that enough ? No, there was still a channel missing. Visitors from all over the world are zooming in to the DolceGabbana site where the stylists have Eric playing the part of Luca, a cynical career-driven doctor playing out his life between women and the hospital. The age-old ingredients of envy, jealosy and love in the net's first "Photo-Romance", was inspired by the Fifties editions of "Grand Hotel" and "Lancio" . The experiment has proved such a success that the Dolce Gabbana stylists and their & line are already planning a sequel. Look it up in the & section: And while you're there, listen to Eric's demos for promotional voicing by clicking in to: and
typing "Eric Alexander" under the "Cerca" column.
