Directing Big Names

How did you find directing such great actresses such as Ottavia Piccolo and Leda Celani ?
 

Well, to say the least, I was nervous. I had worked a lot to get the whole of the final cast involved. What I didn't really expect was the enthusiasm with which, after they had read the scripts, they all undertook to form part of an independent project.

You know, when you're starting, there isn't any money. Unlike what many people think, the truly great professionals don't just work with one eye on  the box office. They're interested in everything that's new and they're  not even afraid of twitching a bit of irony aginst themselves. Then there are also so many young professionals who are looking for ways to express themselves and show what they really can do.

The final cocktail is a bomb. For a cost of zero every one of the participants (from the actors to the whole of the technical staff) worked to make this exhilirating project come live.

It's the first time I've directed such important actors and I must admit I was very nervous, even if I tried to not let it show !
It all went well and I think they all enjoyed themselves, both Ottavia and all the rest of the cast. They're wonderful actors and very, very professional.

I probably might have had "Star" problems if I had worked with less important actors ! I wanted everything on the set to move efficiently so that we could breathe an atmosphere of enjoying our work together and, in fact, I think they were two great days for everyone participating.

Notwithstanding the 40 degree heat wave!
