Questione At The Drive-In: cosa ne penso.

It's 19.57, dinner's almost ready, I sat down in front of my computer to put together this page. I have no idea about what to write, I never really thought about it, other stuff to take care of, other thoughts.

I play guitar in Encore Fou, as I play it at home by myself, and I get the same fulfilment and thrill out of both. It's the state of mind that changes. While with Encore Fou I feel the need to release oppression in a "violent" way, when I'm alone with my acoustic guitar I feel the need to acquire energy, to close my eyes and go with the melodies.

Back to Encore Fou, I've got the shows, when I try to give the best I can to the people watching hoping to get something from them too. When most of all I look for a good time and some amazing nights with Andrea, Jacopo, Gianpaolo and Paolino, with the people who takes care of us, with our friends that maybe we just met. I know that when we leave it's never "goodbye" but "... until next time", and you can bet that one way or another there will always be a next time.

Playing shows means travelling, seeing new places and landscapes. It means being somewhat like unusual tourists, and this is one of the reasons for me to hope that what I'm living with Encore Fou will last as long as possible.

Playing means getting together every week for practice, and it's when you don't do it for a while that you understand that it's such a big a part of you. You feel empty until the day you get together again and everything falls back into its right place. Encore Fou means being in the studio too, playing the same songs and listening to them for ten hours straight until you reach the point when you don't want to hear those song for a month at least. But satisfied and proud because you like the songs, the recording is good and you can't wait for them to come out and everyone can hear them.

I see a lot of passion in Encore Fou, the need to stay together and communicate, in a constructive and spontaneous way, with the means that we feel as ours.
