AUTUMN - WINTER 2000: Zucchero is writing his new album, whose release is expected in spring of 2001.

November 2000: sees the release in Canada of a special collection that contains Zucchero's most famous ballads : "Overdose d'amore/The Ballads",: 'Diamante', 'Il Volo', 'Senza una donna', 'Così celeste', 'Miserere', 'Va pensiero', 'Feels like a woman', 'Menta e Rosmarino', 'Blue', 'Come il sole all'improvviso', 'Mama (Madre dolcissima)', 'Hey Man', 'Eccetera eccetera', 'Ridammi il sole', 'Dune mosse', 'Hai scelto me'.

August 23rd, 2000: the annual "SUGAR NIGHT" took place in Forte Dei Marmi (Tuscany). This event is the idea of Zucchero's friend Marco Macchiarini, a musician in his first band : I Duca. This year's event was called "The Sugar Day & Night" because of the numerous events which took place throughout the day , dedicated to Blues , Soul, Rhythm & Blues and Gospel. The Internet Navigators can watch this on Zucchero's Web Site. The concert in the evening "ZUCCHERO TRIBUTE 2000" was a great success in front of more than 20.000 people. On stage were : Marco Macchiarini his Band, the "SORAPIS", specially reformed for this occasion with Zucchero ,Maurizio Vandelli, Umbi Maggi ex Nomadi, Fio Zanotti at the keyboards and Lele Melotti on the drums. Also a special guest star appearances by Giorgia and the Funck Off Band.

June 6, 2000: "PAVAROTTI & FRIENDS": Zucchero did not miss his appointment with this years "Pavarotti & Friends". An event he has always been the soul of. This year he played with a band including the world famous drummer Steve Gadd. He performed a unique version of "Everybody's Talking", the theme song from the film "Midnight Cowboy". This song is available to listen to by all the Blue's Brothers navigators exclusively on Zucchero's web site and will not appear on any record. He also sang his hit "A Wonderful World" which is on the new CD of "Pavarotti and Friends 2000".

June 2000: Sees the release of "Moment Of Glory" the Scorpions album with the Berliner Philharmoniker Orchestra, in which Zucchero sings with Klaus Meine a very beautiful melodic blues song : ' Send Me An Angel' . Presented in preview at the Expò 2000 of Hannover on the 22nd of June '00.

May 26th, 2000: Zucchero sang at the Munich Olympiastadion in honour of the world-famous footballer Lothar Matthaeus upon his retirement. This was all part of a special celebration and testimonial match between Munich and Bayern Munich, with a special guest: Diego Maradona.

May 7th, 2000: Zucchero is in Abbey Road Studios, London, recording the song "Who Will The Next Fool Be" (a ballad written in 1961 by Charlie Rich), for the "Sun Records Project".
Sun Records of Memphis, the cult 1950's record label, is being revived as a celebration of the new millennium. The project is a recording of historic songs done with respect to the original versions. The "Sun Records Project" will be a tribute to some of the great music of the last century and the feelings contained in it.
Only artists of world-wide repute, and an historical legacy of their own music and art, were invited to participate these included: Paul McCartney, Elton John, Bono, Bob Dylan ,Rod Stewart, Eric Clapton , Bryan Ferry, John Paul Jones, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Tom Jones, Bonnie Raitt , Johnny Halliday, Brian May, Beck, Oasis, Billy Joel, Fats Domino, Scotty Moore & DJ Fontana (members of Elvis's original Band) and many others. Zucchero was backed by an exceptional band composed of: Mark Knopfler, Jools Holland, Scotty Moore and DJ Fontana.

April 17th, 2000: Zucchero is in Paris to record a song by the well known french writer Eric Benzi, as part of a CD entitled : "United For Africa" together with Peter Gabriel, Stephan Eicher, J.J.Goldman, Cheb Mami and Youssou N' Dour.
