Direttore d'orchestra specializzato nella musica del Novecento,
ha studiato pianoforte, contrabbasso, musica corale, direzione
di coro, composizione sperimentale alla scuola di musica di Fiesole
con Sylvano Bussotti e direzione d'orchestra alla Hochschule für
Musik di Vienna.
Ha diretto le seguenti orchestre: l'Orchestra di Padova e del
Veneto, l'Orchestra Filarmonia Veneta, l'Orchestra da Camera di
Belluno, l'Orchestra Sinfonica della Radiotelevisione Croata di
Zagabria, lOrchestra Regionale della Campania A. Scarlatti
ed è direttore del gruppo da camera Ensemble '900, specializzato
nel repertorio moderno e contemporaneo.
E' direttore artistico e fondatore del festival, FINESTRE SUL NOVECENTO di Treviso, giunto questanno alla VII edizione, che si occupa
della musica e della cultura del nostro tempo.
Ha registrato Compact Disc con musiche di diversi autori tra cui
Folksongs di Luciano Berio.
È tra i fondatori della rivista musicale DIASTEMA, una delle più importanti riviste italiane, specializzata in
musicologia e analisi - unica rivista italiana di analisi citata
sulla nuova edizione tedesca della Algemeine Enziclopädie der
Musik.
Come compositore ha al suo attivo alcune colonne sonore realizzate
per la S. Paolo Audiovisivi e ha debuttato nel gennaio 2000, al
Theatre du Roind-Point a Parigi con le musiche di scena dello
spettacolo di prosa Matricule di Luc Bassong con la regia di
Simone Benmussa.
Nel luglio 2000 è stato invitato come direttore dorchestra e
docente al concorso lirico e al festival estivo di Narni (Umbria)
dove ha diretto le opere Suor Angelica e Gianni Schicchi di
Giacomo Puccini.
È consulente artistico per la musica del Novecento dellOrchestra
Filarmonia Veneta - Gian Francesco Malipiero di Treviso.
Fa parte del comitato artistico del Concorso pianistico nazionale
Premio Città di Treviso e dal 2001 sarà il nuovo direttore artistico del Concorso lirico
internazionale Mario Del Monaco.
Conductor specialized in the music of the 20th Century, studied
the piano, double bass, composition, choral music and choir direction,
sperimental composition at the specialisation courses of Fiesole
with Sylvano Bussotti and courses for conductors at the Hochschule
für Musik of Vienna.
He conducted the following orchestras: Orchestra di Padova e del
Veneto, Orchestra Filarmonia Veneta Gian Francesco Malipiero
(Treviso), Orchestra da camera di Belluno, the Symphony Orchestra
of the Croatian Radio-television in Zagreb, Orchestra Regionale
della Campania A. Scarlatti (Napoli).
He registrated many Compact Disc, one of them containing Folksongs
of Luciano Berio.
He is the artistic director and founder of the festival Finestre
sul Novecento in Treviso which is dedicated to the music and
culture of the 20th Century with concerts, theater and conferences.
This year is arrived the VII edition.
He is among the founders of the musical review Diastema and is president of the publishing house Ensemble 900 which
pubblished among other things, this review. Diastema is one of the most important Italian reviews of musicology and
analysis and has in his comity the principal italian musicologists
like Guido Salvetti (director of the Conservatory of Milan), Marcello
Conati (Puccinis Institute of Parma), Mario Baroni (University
of Bologna), Rossana Dalmonte (University of Trento), Paolo Troncon
(the editor), and others; its the only italian review of musical
analysis written in the new german edition of the Allgemeine Enziclopädie
der Musik.
As a composer he has written some documentary music for the pubblisher
S. Paolo Audiovisivi and made his debut in January 2000 in the
Teatre du Rond Point in Paris with the music for a theater piece
called Matricule of Luc Bassong, a production of Simone Benmussa.
In July 2000 he has been invited as a conductor in the jury of
the competition of young opera singers at the festival of Narni
(Umbria, Italy) with course and debut in the operas Suor Angelica
and Gianni Schicchi of Puccini.

From the year 2000 he was nominated principal guest conductor
and artistic consulent for the 20th Century Music of the Orchestra
Filarmonia Veneta Gian Francesco Malipiero.
From november 2000 he is part of the artistic comity of the National
Piano Competition Città di Treviso
From july of this year he will be nominated artistic director
of the Internationl Singer Competition Mario del Monaco in Castelfranco
Veneto (Treviso).
He speaks 5 languages: italian, french, english, german and dutch.
