LO STUDIO NELL'ANTICO BORGO

A S. Giovanni in Marignano, antica fortezza del Brunelleschi, nel riminese, Mario Magnanelli ha ricavato il suo atelier, dal magico, suggestivo fascino bohemienne. Nella " Casa di Artemisia", la maga buona della Valconca, che leggeva i tarocchi nel granaio dei Malatesta, dove il 23 giugno, solstizio d'estate, si evoca con una grande festa, la mitica "Notte delle streghe", nata da un'idea del pittore, la notte di S. Giovanni è diventata oggi una grande attrattiva turistica culturale, con spettacoli, rappresentazioni, riti delle antiche tradizioni popolari e contadine. Si saluta l'inizio dell'estate e con essa i tanti turisti italiani e stranieri che arrivano a migliaia dalla vicina riviera per il suggestivo, affascinante evento nel borgo medievale.

THE STUDIO THE ANCIENT VILLAGE

San Giovanni in Marignano, an ancient Brunelleschi fortress not far from Rimini, was the place chosen by Mario magnanelli in which to set up his charming and fascinating Bohemaian-style studio thet is in fact located in the house of "Artemisia", the good witch of the Conca Valley, who once used to read tarot cards in the granaries of the Malatesta family. On 23rd June, the summer solstice, the village holds its marvellous mythical "Night of the Witches" celebrations. the night of San Giovanni, which was originally the idea of the artist himself, has now become a great cultural tourist attraction, featuring shows, performances and rites linked with local folk and countryside traditions. It heralds the start of summer and welcome the arrival of the thousands of italian and foreign tourists who come here from the Riviera to take part in the exciting and fascinating festival of this Medieval village.
