Offida Lace Museum

Offida Lace Museum, born in 1995-96, run by Cooperativa Oikos, Offida Pro Loco and the town of Offida, is placed, like other Offidan collections, into Palazzo Castellotti, an ancient building in the centre of the Town. 
In the seven rooms of the Museum rare, old pieces (XVIII-XIX centuries) coming from noble families are shown, as well as modern evening dresses: very interesting is, in particular, a fashion robe worn by the famous top model Naomi Campbell in 1997, at a fashion show in London, whose fringes are made of ivory bobbins.

Every morning lace stages for primary school children take place into the Museum; there are also lace courses for adults. New specialised stages to make people know particular techniques (ancient Offidan lace, fantasy animals, flowers in relief) are coming soon.
