Using the Info Palette

The Info palette is located across the bottom of the combustion screen and displays information about the cursor position, current tool, cache, and memory.

You can choose which elements to display on the Info palette or hide the palette altogether.

To hide the Info palette:

Choose Window | Palettes | Hide Info.

To customize the Info palette:
  1. Right-click (Windows) or Ctrl-click (Macintosh) the Info palette.
  2. Enable the required options in the context menu.

The following options are available.

Position

Displays the current X- and Y-position of the cursor.

Color Plot

Displays a color box indicating the current color.

Color Values

Displays the RGB values of the current color. Click this area to toggle between integer and percentage values.

Error Alert

Displays the warning icon   when an error occurs (such as a bit depth or OpenGL conflict). Double-click it to show a list of the error messages.

Tool Feedback

Displays information related to the tool currently being used. For example, when you use the Rotate tool, the percentage of rotation for each axis appears in this area.

Cache Meter

Displays the total available memory and total amount used for caching.

Progress Indicator

Displays an icon that indicates when rendering is in progress.

Flushing the Cache

You can choose to clear all information from the cache to free the available memory.

To flush the cache:
  1. Right-click (Windows) or Ctrl-click (Macintosh) over the cache meter on the Info palette.
  2. Choose Flush Cache from the context menu.
  3. A confirmation dialog appears. Click OK to accept.
