Setting Animation Preferences

There are two animation preferences in the Host category.

Default Keyframe Interpolation

Controls the initial Interpolation setting for keyframes. Later, you can switch this setting in the Timeline.

Use Speed Channel by Default

Controls if the Speed channel is enabled or disabled for new layers and objects.

In several operators such as Composite, Paint, and Particles, you can control speed along a motion path with the Speed channel. After a layer or object is created, you can enable or disable this channel in the Timeline.
