Setting Footage Preferences

Use the Footage preferences to control default footage settings.

Default Still Image Duration

When you open a still image into a Paint, Discreet Keyer, or Discreet Color Corrector operator, or the Footage Library, this value determines the default duration of the footage and operator. For details, see Creating Paint Branches.

Note: If you import a still image, the default duration is set to the duration of the composite instead of this Preference setting. However, the setting is used if you bring it in using the Open command, and create a new Paint, Keyer, or Color Corrector operator out of the still.

Cineon Import Behavior

When you import Cineon files, they can be automatically converted to linear format. For more information, see Converting Cineon Files to Linear.
