Changing the Duration of a Layer
You can change the duration of a layer by stretching or compressing it. When a layer is stretched, frames are added; when it is compressed, frames are removed. For example, if you stretch a 1-minute clip so that it plays for 2 minutes, combustion duplicates every frame. If you compress a 1-minute clip so that it plays for 30 seconds, combustion removes half the frames.
You can use Frame Blending to create new frames by using interpolation. Otherwise, new frames are duplicates of existing frames. Enable Frame Blending in the Footage Controls panel. For detailed information, see Changing Footage Output Settings.
