Using the Overview Tool

You can navigate the Schematic view quickly using the Overview tool. When the process tree does not fit in the Schematic view due to the number of nodes or the zoom factor, the content in the overview rectangle represents the visible nodes.

When the Overview tool is enabled, it appears in a corner of the Schematic view. It shows an overview of the entire process tree. You can pan the Schematic view by dragging the rectangle inside the overview tool.

To customize the Overview tool:

1. Choose File | Preferences, or press Ctrl+; (Windows) or Command+; (Macintosh).
2. In the Schematic category of the Preferences dialog, click General.

The Schematic preferences appear.

3. Enable Display Overview.



4. Set the width and height of the overview.

The units are percentage of viewport dimensions.

5. From the Location list, select the corner of the viewport where the overview tool should appear.
6. Click OK.
