Scheduling the Rendering Jobs

You can use the scheduler to start rendering on a specified day and time. For example, you can schedule jobs to run during off-peak hours on the network.

If you open several workspaces into the Render Queue application, you can batch render them at a specific time.

To schedule a rendering job:
  1. Click Preferences in the stand-alone Render Queue.
  2. Enable Use Timer.
  3. The Scheduling options appear.

  4. Enter the hour and minute at which rendering will begin in the Start Render Time field and select either AM or PM from the list.
  5. Enter the date on which rendering will begin in the Start Render Date field.
  6. Set up the required operators and outputs in the queue, or set up a watched folder. For information, see Working with Operators and Outputs and Using a Watched Folder.
  7. Click Process.
  8. The status message changes to "Waiting for Scheduled Start Time". Rendering begins at the scheduled day and time.

Warning: You must leave the Render Queue application running to use this feature.
