GIBSON SUPER 400, 1934
Sunburst finish, one of the earliest Super 400s ever produced, and one of only 90 400s with the small upper bout, and the short 24 3/4" scale. Carved solid spruce top, carved two-piece flamed maple back, flamed maple sides, flamed maple neck. Very rare rosewood fingerboard (standard was ebony), with multi-ply binding and mother of pearl inlays, marbleized plastic pickguard, and specially engraved Grover G98 Statite tuners, gold plated hardware, leather-covered original hardshell case.
