Country: Italy Language: English Italian	A longitudinal research involved 58 couples aiming to assess conflict expectations just before the wedding and conflict distribution after the first year of marriage. A questionnaire was designed revolving around 9 hot topics (roles, loyalties, money, power, friends, children, autonomy, sexuality, and relatives). The subjects were individually asked to rank the topics from the potentially most conflictual to the least conflictual for a) their incoming marriage; b) the Italian couples; c) their parents' couples. The analysis of the data has allowed to assess variations between expectations and reality, with some links to peculiar constants that allow a further psychodynamic interpretation.
