Day 01 - Jakarta
Arrival at Sukarno Hatta airport, welcome

Day 02 - Jakarta - Bandung
08:00 - Depart from
your hotel in Jakarta for Bogor, the colonial capital of the past.
Stroll through the spectacular 150 years old botanical garden
founded in 1817 by Raffles and see its collection of 10,000
different species of tropical flora,. Enjoy lunch at the Puncak Pass
amidst lush tea plantations. On arrival in Bandung, check in at the
HOLIDAY INN or similar for accommodation.
Day 03 - Bandung
08:30 Visit Tangkuban
Prahu - the smouldering 2,810 meter high volcano. Take an exciting
walk around its crater. Proceed to Ciater for a dip in the healing
hot water springs. Lunch in Lembang. If time permits, stop for tea
at Dago Tea House overlooking the scenic panorama of Bandung City.
Observe the ancient art of 'angklung' making in the Sundanese
village of Padasuka. The 'angklung' is a musical instrument, crafted
from bamboo. We witness a music lesson at the school of Pak Udjo,
with lots of wonderful kids.
Day 04 - Bandung -
Baturaden
Early morning call 07:00 Morning departure to Baturaden via Naga village and
Tasikmalaya, an important center of basketweaving and related
handicrafts. Lunch en route. Overnight at ROSENDA HOTEL or similar.

Day 05 - Baturaden -
Yogyakarta
07:00 Time to explore
the natural beauty of the Dieng plateau. These Hindu temples are
considered to be the oldest in Java and are set amidst steamy clouds
and sulfurous fumes. The journey passes through splendid landscapes.
Lunch in the village of Wonosobo. Proceed to Yogyakarta. Stay at the
QUALITY INN.
Day 06 - Yogyakarta
09:00 Discover the
many fascinating aspects of Yogyakarta. Visit the Sultan's Royal
Palace (Kraton) and the Sonobudoyo Museum (open daily except Monday).
Continue to a traditional 'batik' factory and watch the silversmiths
at work in Kota Gede. On to the world famous Borobudur, Indonesia's
ancient link to the past, dating back to the 8th century. Its
intricate Buddhas and bas-relief are considered the largest, most
complete collection in the world.
Day 07 - Yogyakarta - Batu
07:30 A full day
travel into East Java. Early morning visit of the Javanese Hindu
temple complex of Prambanan. Stop at the site of the ancient capital
of Mojopahit Kingdom. Early evening arrival at KUSUMA AGRO, in the
village of Batu, a small resort in a cool mountain area (BL)
Day 08 - Batu - Kalibaru
02:30 Depart before
daybreak for the peak of Mt. Penanjakan (2700 m). Watch the sun rise
over Mt. Bromo and Batok in the east while the land slowly unveils
its splendor. Return to the hotel for breakfast after which (09:30)
the journey continues through East Java to the village of Kalibaru.
Lunch en route. Accommodation at MARGO UTOMO, which is located
amidst lush plantations and beautiful gardens (BL)
Day 09 Kalibaru - Lovina
10:00 After breakfast
and a morning walk through the plantations, depart for Ketapang.
Cross the narrow Strait of Bali on the local ferryboat which is an
unforgettable experience in itself. From Gilimanuk the northern
route leads to the village of Lovina. Overnight at Palma Beach Hotel
or similar. (BL)
Day 10 Lovina - Nusa Dua/Tanjung
Benoa
09:00 Southbound over
the hill lies Lake Bratan. Stop and visit the Ulun Danu temple.
Enjoy lunch at Pacung overlooking a scenery of Bali's famous rice
terraces. Proceed to the South Coast and check in to the HOLIDAY INN
BENOA in the Nusa Dua resort area (BL)
Day 11 - 14 Nusa Dua/Tanjung

Time to explore the rest of the island or to
relax
