Creative zen on debian squeeze/sid

My creative zen has ID 041e:4157 - firmware 1.21.03e

The better application that I use was gnomad2 (much stable) but it's obsolete.

I'm testing some applications:

Banshee:

  • much unstable, often crash - uninstall it

Rhythmbox:

My first test was to solve a problem. With Rhythmbox It crashed while loading files and I could not reopen, then I tried to load files from pcmanfm, but the files loaded were not seen. I fixed it mounting from root user the Zen with mtpfs ( mtpfs -o allow_other DIR ), copied all files from Zen to pc and copy again on zen by Rhythmbox.

  • Rhythmbox report: Unable to send files to the device MTP: PTP Layer error 200f: send_file_object_info():Could not send object property list.
  • after some attempts and errors, copied all files. On the Zen files played all, but there is a bug with some albums.

gMTP

  • not copy all mp3

Nautilus

  • Error writing file: -108: file or directory does not exist

Amarok
