In these pages you
will find the story of the municipal
museum in Rome devoted to the history of
Tiber Island, cradle of the Eternal city,
and information concerning the three
private associations -Italian, American
and British- founded to promote the
museum's cultural activities,
publications and exhibitions.
We offer ideal travels that start in
ancient Greece and debark at Tiber Island
in the time of the Etruscan kings, take
in the Middle Ages with their barons and
popes, go on through the Renaissance and
the Baroque, and arrive at the present
day.
History, archeology, the arts and
mysticism make up a dense fabric of
events that are not well known even among
Romans and Italians themselves.

We would be pleased if you
should care to participate in our
initiatives. If they interest you,
perhaps you would like to become a member
of your national Tiber Island History
Museum Association, and so contribute to
the preservation and valorization of a
unique enclave of history and the arts
that is part of the heritage of humanity.
