ARTIST STATEMENT
BETWEEN NATURE AND EMOTION
In depicting Nature, I intend to mirror human emotions. Painting
the details of the landscape does not interest me; my aim is representing
states of mind.
I believe emotions can be reflected in Nature: the passion of
sunset, the contrast of the storm, the quietness of calm water,
the deepness of moonlight.
I think that the dynamism of Nature can also reflect very effectively
how human beings can change thoughts, visions and paths. In the
movement of waves and clouds, in the colors of the landscape that
keep changing depending on the time of the day and the season
I see people changing reality.
"Looking to the light is looking to the
future"
My work is focused on light, which to me represents energy, passion,
evolution, and optimism, looking positively to the future. But
my aim is to find harmony between opposite forces since I
believe that the truth comes from the integration of opposites.
Achieving this cojunctio oppositorum means finding a balance between
light and dark, opposite colors, materiality and spirituality,
joy as well as suffering, the realistic and the fantastic.
ITALIAN ARTIST PERSPECTIVE
Italy is a great inspiration for an artist since we live surrounded
by art, ancient churches, medieval castles. Just driving for a
little while, we can enjoy very different views: from mountains
to lake, from the countryside to the sea.
Art is very important for Italians, it is part of our culture,
a heritage of our personal history and mirror of our society.
POETIC WATERCOLOR
Watercolor is a fascinating medium, the best to represent light
and colors since the pigments melt together very well to create
new tones.
My watercolors are more intense compared to traditional techniques.
Using the medium this way I want to depict deep emotions.

is unique"
THE LANGUAGE OF IMAGE: ART CAN MAKE PEOPLE FEEL CLOSER
"art can speak without words"
I think visual art is the best way to communicate with people
since it is able to speak an international idiom: the language
of image. This language can overcome the borders and make peoples
feel closer.
BETWEEN COLORS AND WORDS
Besides painting I have had recognition in literature, winning
prizes and publishing research about graphic works and stories.
The most significant one is titled "The fire", about the choice
I made to dedicate myself to art instead of following a future
as an economist as my parents desired for me.
Even as a writer I feel that visual art is more communicative
than words. It has a stronger impact, it is more direct.

day"
