Changing View Modes
You can look at any image channel in a viewport using the different view modes. Several view modes show multiple channels simultaneously (such as alpha overlay).
To change the view mode:
- Select the viewport, then choose Window | View Mode.
A menu appears containing all the view modes. The current view mode is checked.
- Choose the view mode corresponding to the channel you want to see.
The image in the active viewport changes to show the selected channel(s).
Note: These options are also available in the viewport context menu. You can also use the keyboard shortcuts (for example, Ctrl+Shift+8 to see the alpha channel).
