Opening an Existing Workspace

In addition to creating workspaces, you can open a workspace that you previously saved to continue editing your work. You can modify all the objects, motion paths, effects, settings, filenames, and more.

For information on saving a workspace, see Saving a Workspace.

To open an existing workspace:
  1. Choose File | Open Workspace, or press Ctrl+Shift+O (Windows) or Command+Shift+O (Macintosh).
  2. In the Open Workspace file browser, navigate to the appropriate directory and select the workspace file that you want to open.
  3. In the file browser, you can see a thumbnail of each workspace file.

Note: The thumbnail is the current operator in the viewport when the workspace was last saved. If you had the Schematic view open at the time, there is no thumbnail. If you were viewing a layer in Layer view, the workspace will include a thumbnail of the composite the layer is in.

  4. Click OK.
  5. The selected workspace is opened and appears in the combustion viewport(s). (The viewport layout when you saved the file is used when you open it.)
