Editing Composite Settings
The composite display settings are specified when you create a new composite. You can change these settings at any time.
To access Output controls for a composite branch:
- Select the composite that you want to change.
The Composite Controls panel appears.
- Click the Output button.
The settings are related to the composite, not a piece of footage.
- Change the composite settings as needed:
- Select a different preset from the list.
- To change the composite resolution, adjust the values in the Width or Height field.
Note: If you change the width and height of a composite, the camera field of view is automatically adjusted to add space around the layers in the composite without changing the perspective of the layers in 3D space. The position of the camera and the layers do not change. If the field of view of the camera is animated, the keyframes are adjusted (but not deleted) to account for the new composite width and height.
- To change the pixel aspect ratio, enter a value in the Pixel Aspect Ratio field. You can also select the value from the Pixel Aspect Ratio list.
- To change the composite frame rate, enter a value in the Frame Rate field. You can also select from several common frame rates in the Frame Rate list.
- To change composite duration, enter a new duration in the Duration field.
- To change the field interpretation, click the appropriate field interpretation button.
- To set the composite's custom target size, enable Custom Target Size, and then enter width and height in the appropriate fields.
- To change the background color of the composite, use the BG color box or BG color picker.
Note: Use Custom Target Size to specify a composite's size when you import it as a layer into another composite.
