Changing the Frame Rate

The Frame Rate field indicates the frame rate of the footage. By default, it is set to the frame rate of the original media file. You can set the frame rate as needed.

To change the frame rate:
  1. In the Workspace panel, select the Footage operator you want to change.
  2. Note: You can also select the Footage operator in the Footage Library.

    The Footage Controls panel appears.

  3. Click the Source button.
  4. Select a standard rate from the Frame Rate list.
  5. Use the Frame Rate field to set a custom value.
  6. Note: You can set the frame rate of the footage to always match the file's frame rate by selecting From File from the Frame Rate list. If there is no frame rate embedded in the file, the From File option attempts to match the frame rate using the footage presets. For example, if a 640 x 480 file is imported, combustion looks to its presets and finds the closest match, which is NTSC, and assigns a frame rate of 29.97 fps.
