Setting Footage Display Quality

Use the Footage Controls panel to determine the display quality of the footage used for each layer or Paint branch. By using lower image quality, you can improve system performance (especially when working with many layers).

To set display quality for the footage:
  1. Show the Output controls for the Footage operator.
  2. Under Resolution, select an item from the Quality list.
  3. Note: Select Custom to degrade the image quality by a factor of your choice. Enter the image degradation factor in the field to the right of the Quality list.

To set display quality for all images in the viewports:

Select an option from the Display Quality list to the right of the playback controls.

Note: Changing the global quality setting does not override quality explicitly set for a specific layer or Footage operator.
