Changing the End Behavior

The End Behavior setting determines what happens during playback when the end of the footage is reached. This is useful if, for instance, you import a short clip into a longer composite and you want the clip to loop within the composite or hold the last frame.

To change the end behavior:
  1. Show the Output controls for the Footage operator.
  2. Select an option from the End Behavior list.
  3. The following options are available.

    Select:
    To:

    Stop at End

Stop playback normally on the last frame of the clip.

    Ping-Pong

Play the clip from start to end, then play backwards to the start again. The value in the Repeat field determines how many times this cycle is repeated.

    Loop

Play the clip from start to end then return to the Start frame and play it again. The value in the Repeat field determines how many times this cycle is repeated.

    Hold Last Frame

Play the clip from start to end, then hold the End frame for the number of frames indicated in the Repeat field.

  4. Depending on the specified end behavior, enter the number of times to repeat playback in the Repeat field.
