Using paint* and effect* Files

If you have paint* 2.x or effect* 2.x projects, you can open them in combustion. When you open a paint* 2.x file using the Open Workspace file browser, the project becomes a Paint branch in the workspace. Likewise, an effect* 2.x composite becomes a Composite branch. You are ready to continue painting or compositing.

effect* 2.x files use the .icp file extension and paint* 2.x files use the .ipp file extension.

To access these files, select paint* 2.0 Project or select effect* 2.0 Project from the Format list in the Open Workspace file browser.

If the paint* project contains committed frames, you are prompted to convert the frames into a clip or image sequence.

Warning: Workspace files saved from combustion cannot be opened in effect* or paint*.
