Working with Nested Composites

When you nest a composite, you move it (and everything it contains) onto a single layer in another composite. This in a sense "collapses" the composite onto the layer, with an important difference—you can still modify all of the elements in the nested composite. For example, you can move layers, add effects, and import footage just as you would normally.

Using nesting, you can organize the elements in the workspace by grouping them together, or apply effects to multiple layers at once.

You can create nested composites or choose to move existing layers into a nested composite. Layers in a nested composite can be moved and reordered in the same way as in any other composite. There is no limit to the complexity of the workspaces that you can create.
