Animating Operators

You animate an operator by changing its properties at different points in the clip. This is referred to as setting keyframes.

To animate an operator:
  1. Apply an operator, or double-click an existing operator in the Workspace panel.
  2. The operator controls appear.

  3. If animation is not already enabled, click the Animate button, or press A. The Animate button is red when enabled.
  4. On the first frame of the animation, set the operator's properties to determine how the operator will look at the beginning of the animation. This sets the first keyframe.
  5. Use the frame controls to advance to the last frame of the animation. Adjust the properties to create the effect you want at the end of the animation. This sets another keyframe on the last frame.
  6. Play the clip to see the result of your animation.
  7. You can modify the animation by moving to other frames and adjusting the properties. A keyframe is set on every frame where you adjust a property.
  8. For more information, see Keyframing.
