Disconnecting Nodes
In the Schematic view, you can disconnect nodes in several ways.
If an operator node is not connected to anything, it is just an empty branch with no output. If a Footage node is unconnected, it is still listed in the Footage Library and you can still render it because it has footage to output.
To disconnect two nodes:
- Click the edge between the nodes to select it, and press Delete or Backspace, or right-click (Windows) or Ctrl-click (Macintosh) and choose Delete.
- Drag either end of the edge between the nodes away from the connection point and release it.
Note: The edge between a layer node and a Composite node cannot be disconnected. To disconnect a layer's nodes from the composite, delete the layer node, or delete the edge between the operator node and the layer node.
