Using the Schematic Grid

Use the Schematic grid to make organizing the nodes easier. The Schematic view displays the grid by default. You can use the Snap to Grid option to align nodes to the grid rules as you move them.

To show or hide the Schematic grid:

• Right-click (Windows) or Ctrl-click (Macintosh) in the Schematic view and choose Display Grid.

A check mark indicates the grid is on.

To make nodes snap to the grid:

• Right-click (Windows) or Ctrl-click (Macintosh) in the Schematic view and choose Snap to Grid.

Note: Nodes added or moved after enabling Snap to Grid are aligned to the grid. Nodes placed prior to enabling Snap to Grid are not automatically adjusted.

To change grid size and color:

1. Choose File | Preferences, or press Ctrl+; (Windows) or Command+; (Macintosh).
2. In the Schematic group, click General.

The Schematic preferences appear.



3. Adjust the Size field in the Grid group.
4. Click the Color box to set the color of the grid lines.
5. Click OK.
