Using the Footage Overview Tool

You can navigate the Footage Library view quickly using the Overview tool. When the list of Footage nodes does not fit in the Footage Library view due to the number of nodes or the zoom factor, the overview rectangle shows the visible nodes.

When the Overview tool is enabled, it appears in a corner of the Footage Library view. You can pan the Footage Library view by dragging the rectangle inside the overview.

To customize the Overview tool:

1. Choose File | Preferences, or press Ctrl+; (Windows) or Command+; (Macintosh).
2. In the Footage category, click Library.

The Footage Library preferences appear.

3. Enable Display Overview.



4. Set the width and height of the overview.

The units are percentage of viewport dimensions.

5. From the Location list, select the corner of the viewport where the overview tool should appear.
6. Click OK.
