Inverting Masks

To invert a mask, select the mask, then enable Invert in the Modes controls.

The following example illustrates the effects of inverting a mask.

In the first example, the mask is not inverted. The inside of the mask has an opacity of 100%, and the outside has an opacity equal to 0%. You can still control the amount of opacity inside the mask, however. In the second example, the mask is inverted so the rest of the image is completely opaque.
