Parenting Layers
Use parenting to make one layer (the parent layer) control the movement of another (the child layer).
To parent a layer:
- Select the child layer.
- Do one of the following to select the parent layer:
- Select the parent layer from the Parent list to the right of the Composite Controls panel.
- Click the Pick button
and click the parent layer in the active viewport.
When you move, rotate, or scale the parent layer, the child layer is also affected.
To remove the parent-child relationship between layers:
- Select the child layer.
- Select None from the Parent list.
The link between the two layers is removed.
