Starting with a Basic Emitter

Usually, you start working on a new emitter by modifying an existing emitter that resembles your goal. You do this to save time. However, there are times when you would rather have a fresh start.

The Blank library includes one emitter named "New Emitter Type." This emitter has one particle type named "New Particle Type," which uses the default shape, a 32 x 32 gray square. The same emitter is created when you choose New Emitter Library from the Library menu.

If you save the default emitter in your library, you have quick access to it. The Templates library provides various starter emitters for you to modify, and there is also a Templates folder in the Default library for convenience. If you create your own set of basic emitters, store it in the Particle Libraries folder so it is easy to load.
