Paint Menu Bar

Use the menus to access commands.

Selection Menu

You can access the following commands through the Selection menu.

Select Entire Image

Creates a selection around the entire frame.

Remove Selection

Ends a selection.

Paste Into

Pastes the contents of the clipboard into the current selection. The pasted image is centered in the current selection, but is not resized.

Paste and Fit Into

Pastes the contents of the clipboard into the current selection. The pasted image is centered in the current selection, and resized to fit in the current selection.

Fill

Fills the active selection, or, if there are no active selections, the entire frame, with the current foreground color and/or Paint mode and settings.

Invert

Inverts a selection.

Feather

Feathers a selection by a specified pixel amount.

Expand

Expands a selection by a specified pixel amount.

Contract

Contracts a selection by a specified pixel amount.

Object Menu

You can access the following commands through the Object menu.

Bring to Front

Moves the selected object to the top of the stacking order.

Bring Forward

Moves the selected object up one level in the stacking order.

Send to Back

Moves the selected object to the bottom of the stacking order.

Send Backward

Moves the selected object down one level in the stacking order.

Group

Groups all selected objects together.

Ungroup

Ungroups all objects in a group.

Make Curve

Converts the selected object into a curve with control points that you can edit.

Lock

Locks the selected objects. The objects are still visible on the image, but no longer appear in the Timeline or workspace and cannot be selected in the viewport. This is useful when you want to "commit" a series of Paint objects or brush strokes to prevent accidental modification, or to simplify your list of objects in the Timeline.

Lock All

Locks all objects in the Paint operator.

Unlock All

Unlocks all objects that were previously locked.

Horizontal Alignment

Aligns or distributes selected objects horizontally.

Vertical Alignment

Aligns or distributes selected objects vertically.

Auto Durations

Extends the duration of newly created objects automatically as you move to other frames.
