Distributing Objects

Distribute objects to space them evenly over a specific distance, and along the horizontal or vertical axes. This feature is useful for spacing characters in a word, as well as for spacing words or lines of text.

To distribute objects horizontally:

1. Select the left-most object, and move it to the desired left margin.
2. Select the right-most object, and move it to the desired right margin.
3. Select all the objects to be distributed.
4. Choose Object | Horizontal Alignment and select the type of alignment from the menu.
   
   

   Use:	To:
   Distribute Lefts	Evenly space the left edges of the object.
   Distribute Centers	Evenly space the centers of the objects.
   Distribute Rights	Evenly space the right edges of the objects.

   
   
   

Objects are spaced evenly between the left-most object and the right-most object.

To distribute objects vertically:

1. Select the top-most object, and move it to the desired top margin.
2. Select the bottom-most object, and move it to the desired bottom margin.
3. Select all the objects to be distributed.
4. Choose Object | Vertical Alignment and select the type of alignment from the menu.
   
   

   Use:	To:
   Distribute Tops	Evenly space the top edges of the object.
   Distribute Centers	Evenly space the centers of the objects.
   Distribute Bottoms	Evenly space the bottom edges of the objects.

   
   
   

Objects are evenly spaced between the top-most object and the bottom-most object.
