Creating Selection Objects

To select part of an image, you surround it with a selection object.

To create a selection object:

1. In the Workspace panel, click the layer to which you want to apply a selection.
2. If you are not already in Paint, choose Operators | Paint.
3. On the Toolbar, choose a selection tool.
4. Create the selection in the active viewport.
