Editing the Outline Properties

You can soften the outline of the text object, scale the width of the outline, and specify whether the outline is placed above or below the Face of the text object.

To change the color of the outline:

Click the color box and select a color from the Pick Color dialog. You can also use the Color Picker tool.

Note: You can also Ctrl-click the color box and select a color from the color palette.

To adjust the opacity of the outline:

Enter an opacity value in the Opacity field.

To soften the outline:

Enter a softness value in the Softness field. The higher the value, the more blurred the outline becomes.

Note: When Face is enabled, you can soften the outline independently of the text Face attribute to give a glow effect to the text object.

To change the size of the outline:

Enter a value in the Size field. The higher the value, the wider the outline.

Drawing Priority

You can set the drawing priority of the outline to appear above or below the Face attribute of the text object.

To set the drawing priority of the outline:
