Creating a "Type On" Text Effect

Animate the Write On values to create text that appears to type on the screen.

To create "type-on" text:

1. Enable Animate.
2. Select the text object.
3. In the Text Controls panel (F8), click Text.
4. Click Layout.



5. From the Type list, select Static (default).

Note: You can also use the Write On option with text rolls and crawls.

6. Go the frame where you want to begin the type-on effect.
7. Enter 0 in the Write On field.
8. Go to the frame where you want to end the type-on effect.
9. Enter 100 in the Write On field.

Note: The type-on effect can be used with single and multiple lines of text.
