Using the LUT Graph

The Y-axis of the graph (the output axis) is the number of color levels set by the Output Color Depth list. For example, 10-bit produces 210 levels, so the range goes from 0 to 1023.

Note: Float uses Y-axis values from 0 to 1 to represent the many color levels that result from using a floating point number to represent each color value.

The X-axis of the graph (the input axis) is the number of color levels set for the image stream. For example, if a layer does not have a Bit Depth Converter operator on it, this number is taken from bit depth of the Footage operator for the layer.

Graph Buttons

The Red, Green, and Blue buttons let you work on the settings of a color individually. There are four buttons beside the graph:

Graph Gadgets

You can use the curve gadgets to adjust the fields and vice versa. To use the gadgets, you drag the dashed lines and the curve itself.
