Independent Alpha Levels Operator

You can access the same Matte controls as in the Discreet Keyer by applying the Alpha Levels operator. When you want to adjust the existing alpha channel on a layer, you do not need all the other Keyer controls.

To apply an Alpha Levels operator:

1. In the Workspace panel, select a layer.
2. Choose Operators | Keying | Alpha Levels.

The Alpha Levels Controls panel appears.



3. Use the histogram to modify the layer's alpha channel.

The gray input slider is gamma, which you use to lighten or darken the midtones.
