Supported Audio File Types

The two standard formats for audio are WAV (for uncompressed Microsoft Windows NT® audio) and AIFF (for uncompressed Macintosh audio). combustion can work with either type.

As well, combustion supports audio files that are embedded in Video for Windows (AVI) or QuickTime (MOV) movies. When the audio file is loaded, the audio is copied to the workspace and cached to RAM. You can also use the QuickTime Streaming format for audio.
