Setting Rendering Quality
Use the Quality options to control the amount of detail and image quality in the render. The higher the image quality setting, the more rendering time required. You can use Draft, for example, to quickly obtain a preview of the final clip. Since this creates a low-quality image, it requires much less rendering time.
The Settings button next to the Quality list lets you access various settings for 3D composites that also control the final image result. The button is unavailable for other operators. The settings include anti-aliasing, supersampling, and render effects options, as well as which view to render from (Camera or Perspective).
Note: The default settings for the composite are used unless you change them for rendering via the Settings dialog.
To set the rendering quality:
- On the Output Settings panel, select an option from the Quality list.
The following options are available.
For information on proxies, see Creating Proxy Footage.
- To customize the quality options for an output, click the Settings button.
Note: You can only customize quality settings for Composite operators that use 3D mode.
- Disable Use Current. Use Current utilizes the options in the Settings controls of each 3D composite for rendering.
- Set the following options, as required.
Note: Enabling these options can increase rendering time.
- To change the view that you want to render, select an option from the View list on the Settings dialog. You can select Camera View or Perspective View.
- Click OK.
