Preparing a Job

Once the render manager and servers are started, start combustion and prepare a project for rendering.

Note: You can also send jobs from the stand-alone Render Queue application.

To prepare a network rendering job:
  1. Start combustion on a workstation on the render network.
  2. Open the workspace file you want to render.
  3. Choose File | Render, press Ctrl+R, or double-click an output node in the Schematic view.
  4. The Render Queue dialog appears.

  5. Set the render options, including the output file type.

  7. If public input paths are set up for the required footage, proceed to the next step. Otherwise, see Using Public Folders for more information.
  8. To set the path and filename of the rendered output, do one of the following:
  9. Continue with Submitting a Job.
