A solo performance by Roberto Zappalą inspired by a book/conversation of the deceased writer and journalist Enzo Aprea, forced on a wheel chair after the amputation of arms and legs, a consequence of the rare disease Buegers disease. The main theme of this performance, articulated in different pictures, is to try to explore and give a meaning to the numerous contradictions that characterise social behaviour in respect to the new cultural and technological orientations regarding the body and to its changes, in a reality where seduction, in its most common acceptation as well as in the wider meaning, establishes and connotes the relationships of power, among people, things and themselves reciprocally. The theme besides, has offered the idea for a reflection on dance itself, on its languages and its unaware discriminations. |
