The centre is open to new members and to the possibility to expand the current program to include new days and times to practice meditation.

Program for 2004

Buddhist Meditation
These meditation sessions focus on the development of practice attitudes and values linked to the Theravada tradition. Each meeting opens with the traditional offering of incense and candles, Pali chanting and meditation. There is often time for dhamma reflections, readings and discussion at the end. Open to everyone.
Monday 19.30-20.30

Meditation and Yoga
A period of silent meditation concludes this hourlong meeting that focuses on a light yoga workout of self-massage, movement, stretching and some traditional postures for the development of awareness, relaxation and energy. The yoga segment is guided by an experienced practitioner.
Tuesday 20.15-21.15

Guided Meditation
Anyone just starting out will have the opportunity to learn to meditate gradually within the context of any of the group activities. Nevertheless, this meeting will offer anyone at any level the opportunity to partecipate in a guided meditation and to ask questions related to particular problems or considerations they may have about their practice.
1st Wednesday of each month 20.15-21.15

Ánápánasati - Meditation on the Breath
Explore the mind and the body through the breath, creating energy, space, relaxation and awareness. Walking and standing meditation is sometimes part of these sessions.

Meditation Course dettagli
Starting in February, there will be a series of meetings dedicated to the reading of H.Gunaratana's classic meditation manual and to J.Goldstein and J.Kornfield's "Seeking the Heart of Wisdom," two books written for those who meditate and for those wanting to start. The course will be an opportunity to develop a basic understanding and common language about meditation, as well as, useful tools and approaches.
2nd and 4th Sunday of each month 10.00-11.30 (starting on 8 February 2004)

Morning Meditation
A simple meditation session to start off the working day or to take an "awareness break" during it. (By appointment.)

Note: Private interviews are possibile from time to time for those wishing to discuss practice, in addition to the Wednesday evening meeting. (See above.)
